Fall Children’s Show – MHS Fall Children’s Show – Each year MHS Theatre extends our love of Fine Arts to MISD elementary campuses. Students are bussed for four mornings in groups of 800 to see our children’s show. MHS theatre students meet, greet and sign autographs for their new fans.

MusicalsMHS musicals attract over 3,000 people each year. We include MHS orchestra, Pantherettes, Choir and MISD elementary students to create a community celebration.

Broadway Dallas High School Musical NominationsWe compete in the Broadway Dallas High School Musical Theatre Awards and won several scholarships and award nominations.

Chastity Kennedy

Theatre Director

Mrs. Kennedy has been involved in educational and professional theatre for over twenty years. She has been an actor, director, stage manager, costume manager, choreographer, published author, and contest judge. She has directed at both the middle school and high school levels. Mrs. Kennedy has directed over 40 productions for educational theatres. Her shows have made UIL OAP district, bi-district, area and regional appearances. Her students have made multiple state appearances on the UIL and Texas Forensics Association’s circuit, garnering multiple state championships. Many of Mrs. Kennedy’s former students are working professionally in theatre and film in New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, and Austin as well as being successful theatre teachers at the secondary level of educational theatre. She is thrilled to serve, inspire and educate the students of Midlothian High School.
